From pyrolysis to compounding
Engineering functional biocarbon masterbatches
We make biocarbon suitable for thermoplastics by means of modification and formulation.
Biocarbon can be used as a functional, renewable additive for conventional plastics and bioplastics, however modification is necessary to enable plastic compounding.
Carboganic develops functional biocarbon masterbatches, named BC2U (Biocarbon Capture To Utilisation), for compounding in a two step approach:

Technical biocarbon
stabilized biocarbon, to make a technical biocarbon by micronizing, drying and calibrating.

Engineered biocarbon
modified technical biocarbon together with additives formulated for specific (thermo)plastics, to make an engineered functional biocarbon masterbatch.
